Something important it get with, when talking about, or receiving Reiki is there’s no magic going on here! It’s a progress where you're truly checking in with yourself. Perhaps it’ll be on an in-depth profound level or perhaps you’ll be in such a relaxed space that you can start letting go of things that ordinary you cling onto without real awareness. Because lets face it letting go of emotions can be tricky especially when you're tense or stressed. And seeing as the vast majority of us city folk run around town with meetings to attend, coffees to pick up, spin classes to spin, kids to nurture etc. No wonder we've grown so accustomed to our friend cortisol running through our bodies keeping us on that tenuous high.
So 'What do you do to relax' I’ve asked so many of my clients throughout my 13 years as a therapist. The answers do vary. But… The old favorites keep popping up: Yoga, Exercise, Walks, Going on holiday. And kudos to the ones who say have a drink, not because drinking actually relaxes us but because that honesty is pretty high up when it comes to letting go and shifting behavior patterns that no longer serve us. Truth starts the clearing process.
